12th June 2006 - MEL SERGEANT

Mel is in Sydney for a short time so dont miss her at The Comedy Hole for only $9.

Mel's energy is infectious. All efforts to sedate the Sarge have failed. You’ll just have to run after her! Here is what others have said about Mel.

MEL SARGEANT ‘Mental’ - The Age

Sarge radiates that blatant health one normally only encounters in aerobics instructors. Blonde, young and free from obvious pause in her all-over tan, this chipper thing should irritate as she, literally, cycles her way through an entire routine. She is, however, pretty damn funny and comes across as the kind of gal that you wouldn't mind sharing a cup of Gatorade with. Her account of pain, victory and anti-climax as an elite athlete is engaging. - Helen Razer, The Age

'The show was fantastic! Stand-Up visuals, it was all sensational' - Robert King Entertainment Officer La Trobe University, Bendigo

Appearing The Comedy Store Mel, known to most as the Sarge! first sprung out of the comedic closet in 2001 to compete in JJJ's Raw Comedy Competition and made it to the State finals. In 2001 she took to the airwaves as a guest host of 3CR's howdarewewhoarewe? Mel then joined the SYN FM 90.7 breaky crew on Toasted, the most popular show on SYN.

In November 2003 Mel played The Rope Room at the Prince Patrick Hotel with Wil Anderson and Tom Gleeson. She also played at the Trades Hall for MP Gavin Jennings arguing alongside comedy legend Rod Quantock that 'Politics is show business for the ugly'.
